The 1970s motto: "The 1970s should not be forgotten. Big bell bottoms, but also big gaming!" Description: The first generation of gaming had a huge impact on you. Whether it was the first coin-op for SpaceWar or the culmination of Space Invaders, you identify with the formative steps taken by the industry. Perhaps it was you who proved there was a market for gaming one quarter at a time. Pac-man, Asteroids, Adventure, Zork, and many other pivotal titles were launched that spawned some of the most critical companies in gaming history. In this era was the fateful transition from arcades to living rooms with the launch of the Atari 2600 and the rise of the first third-part developer Activision! From the 70's, all that we have today was born. Without people like you living or worshiping that era, there would be no billion dollar gaming industry. So for that we say thank you.

* Socializer Killers loyally love and fiercely hate. Groups an SK bonds with in game are often deemed heroic, while the opposition is reviled. SKs appreciate teamwork and cooperation in PvP. They may become vicious predators while enjoying the thrill of hunt within in a pack, but they are not likely to seek out targets by themselves. They enjoy forming groups and alliances that will pit themselves against other players--and they gain the most satisfaction when they defeat organized groups of other players.

Games grew in size, scope, and budget, unleashing memorable experiences on an entire generation of gamers. Brand new genres evolved... the FPS... the RTS... music games... the MMORPG! New technologies were invented allowing for higher fidelity graphics and sound than ever imaginable. There was 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit... unlimited-bit! And should we not forget, the web browser was created ushering in the Internet as we know it? In ten short years, the industry hit its stride and grew to include every major player that exists today. The thousands of people making a living by developing games owe you, big time. Heck, they ARE you.
