Wie PC-Oldies vielleicht noch wissen, erschienen Final Fantasy VII und VIII vor Urzeiten auch für den PC. Gerade die Polygon-Helden profitierten damals stark von den neu aufkommenden Grafik-Beschleunigerkarten. Die Spiele waren recht schnell vergriffen und erzielten schnell hohe Preise auf Ebay und co. Nun deutet alles darauf hin, dass Final Fantasy VII demnächst auf Steam erscheint.
Square Enix hatte sich bereits am 15. Juni die Domain "FinalFantasyVIIPC.com" gesichert. Aus einer geleakten Produktbeschreibung des Spiels geht hervor, dass die PC-Neuauflage Steam Achievements (36) und auch Cloud-Saving unterstützt und zum Preis von 9,99€ angeboten werden wird. Wem das Spiel zu schwer ist, dem bietet Square/Enix einen Charakter Booster an, der HP, MP und Gil (Die Währung des Spiels) Werte zum Maximum anhebt. Wir rechnen mit einer offiziellen Ankündigung des Spiels in den nächsten Tagen / Wochen.

Andriasang reports Wada told shareholders that no Final Fantasy VII remake will happen until the company produces a new series entry which is higher quality the classic PSOne era RPG.
Wada apparently confirmed the implication that in his opinion, recent releases such as Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2 and XIV haven’t met expectations of quality.
The executive said remaking Final Fantasy VII would irreparably damage the franchise.
