Prof Layton uf Wii U?

In a Famitsu Wii U special this week (summarised by Sokuho@Hokanko), Level-5's CEO Akihiro Hino said that Level-5 is considering porting the Professor Layton series over to Wii U.

He said that because the Wii U allows stylus-based gaming in the living room, expanding the type of game that can be played there, a Professor Layton port would be a fun possibility.

Hino also said that the Wii U was "very Nintendo-like hardware with much potential for new experiences."

Top Japanese producers from Capcom, Tecmo Koei and SEGA also weighed in – most seem excited about the changes that HD will make to the Wii market and the multiplayer possibilities that the console's two screens open up.
