Open Headphones

(1) Fostex t50rp, $70-$150. Deep bass, clear mids, slightly rolled off highs.
(1) Grado SR-60i, $79. Light bass, forward clear mids, shrill highs.
(1) Sennheiser HD555, $75-$90. Good bass though slightly muddy, slightly recessed mids, rolled off highs.
(1) Audio Technica ATH-AD700, $75-$100. Weak bass though it has some impact, detailed mids and highs with no fatigue. The best soundstage in the price range.
(2) AKG K240S, $80-$100. Great for studio monitoring due to their neutrality. Has good bass, clear and detailed mids, and nice airy highs.
(1) Alessandro MS-1, $99. Decent natural sounding bass, good warm mids, good detail in the highs with decent extension.
(1) Grado SR80i, $99. Decent lows, though the aggressively forward mids overshadow them. Shrill highs, very bright headphone. Excellent for Rock, possibly the best headphone under $100 for the genre. Highly regarded. Comfort and fatigue are potential concerns.
(2-B) Fischer Audio FA-011, $118. Deep tight bass, smooth clear mids, somewhat bright highs.

Closed Headphones

(1-B) Sony MDR-XB700, $75-$80. Deep boomy bass, definitely for bassheads, recessed mids, decent highs.
(1-B) Audio Technica M50, $100-$150. Punchy deep bass, with slightly recessed mids. Decent isolation and good portability.
(1) Shure SRH840, $150-$200. Accurate/punchy bass, great mids, highs are somewhat lacking.
(1-B) Denon D1100, $120-$200 (generally under $150). Deep punchy, slightly overbearing, bass with smooth mids and highs.
(1) Sennheiser HD280 Pro, $85-$100. Rather balanced sound though slightly recessed mids and rolled of highs. Excellent isolation, perhaps the best in the price range.

Ich persönlich benutz Sennheiser HD 25. Aber die sind bereits es biz uf der tüüre siite.

I han mir mal d' Koss UR 40 kauft - tönend für mis Empfinde tiptop - Amazon.com $26 resp. über Toppreise um dia 50.-
Über d'Koss PortaPro liestmer ja fascht nur guats - i find's eifach chli a Glotter und putz wüest (okay, ur40 sind au nid grad schön )

Ha (unger angerem) d'PortaPro ou daheime, eigne sech eifach nur für @home, wöu sie offe sie und sehr viu vor Musik a d'Umwält witergä.
Usserdem si sie für mi bitzli überbewärtet, klanglech. Die nöii Grado SR60-Version fingi ziemlech toll, aber i ha eigch meh Ahnig vo In-Ear, drum sägi ize nüt meh derzue.

Bass isch ultrageil.... s'ganze Spektrum isch en Traum... besser als z.B. d'Monster Beats.... au susch sind d'Höchene und Tüüfene würklich brilliant.

es isch mega bequem und rel. liecht.. aber es isch au relativ gross.... qualitativ 1A und priis bim digitec glaub 79 oder 89 Stauz....
